Terms of Use

In short: JK RapidReader is free to use. It comes as it is, without warranties. Use it lawfully, respect the rights of what you read, and follow the terms of any AI service you connect to it.

Who we are

JK RapidReader and rapidreader.io are provided by John Kirker Inc., Tustin, California, USA (“we”, “us”). By installing the extension or using this website you agree to these terms.

Using the extension

  • You may install and use JK RapidReader free of charge, for personal or work use.
  • You are responsible for what you import, save and share with it, and for having the right to do so.
  • Your library is stored on your computer, in a folder you choose or in your browser. Keeping backups is up to you.

AI and other services

If you connect an AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI) or Readwise, you do so with your own account and key, under that provider’s terms and prices. We are not a party to that agreement and do not see or pay for that use. AI output can be wrong; check what matters.

No warranty

JK RapidReader is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do our best to fix problems, but we can’t promise the extension or this website will always work, be error-free, or keep every feature.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of JK RapidReader or this website. Where liability can’t be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which is nothing.
