Back up, sync or open your library in Obsidian

Your library is plain files. Here is what you can do with them.

Every article is a plain Markdown file in your folder, with its notes, quizzes and chat beside it. So you can:

  • Back it up or sync it like any folder, for example inside Dropbox or Google Drive.
  • Open it in Obsidian or any editor. Edit an article and RapidReader picks up the change. Drop a new .md note into the library folder and it becomes an article. Delete one and its article goes; its notes are set aside in library/.trash/.
  • Back up everything to one file, or restore one, in Integrations → Data Management.
  • Move to a different folder: Settings → About → Change folder…

Please don’t hand-edit the .json files beside each article; RapidReader doesn’t merge changes to those.
